When evaluating your application for undergraduate admission, we are interested in understanding how you challenged yourself relative to the curriculum that was available at your school and the trends in your performance—for example, if your grades improved between freshman and senior year. We also consider the GPA that is indicated on your high school transcript. We look for students in the top 25 percent of their class.

Exam Timing and Structure. Practice for the Exams. AP Exams are administered at many high schools and at exam centers. Ask a teacher or school counselor if your school administers AP Exams. You can look up exam dates for the past five years if you need to know when you took an AP Exam.
AP Test Scores
You can apply first and then submit your SAT scores afterward. Ensure that you indicate that you will be submitting your scores so that colleges won't think that you are applying test-optional this can be done by not ticking the test-optional box in the common app. Apply first and submit any official scores to the schools you're applying to afterwards. The Common App and sending official test scores are separate and done separately through different organizations.
You will need to make the decision yourself as to whether you would like to send your scores. The admissions office will not be able to assist you with that decision. If you have a score that you feel does not represent your academic strength or college preparedness, you should not feel any need to submit it. In the last admissions cycle there were more than five thousand applicants with scores at or above the 75th percentile scores listed here who were not offered admission.
