What is the difference between a resume and a CV? When should you use a resume, and when is it better to use a curriculum vitae? The primary differences between a resume and a curriculum vitae CV are length, what is included, and what each is used for. While both are used in job applications, a resume and a CV are not always interchangeable.

VITA - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program
Students learn to prepare Federal and New York State income tax returns using professional tax preparation software. In addition, students will develop and enhance a number of soft skills such as problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking and leadership which are considered valuable to entry-level accounting and business professionals. Students are also able to build a solid resume after participating in VITA. Volunteering in the VITA program is an excellent opportunity for accounting majors to gain exposure to income taxes prior to completing a formal course in taxation. For students that have already completed a course in taxation, this program provides them an opportunity to apply the knowledge that they have gained from that class to a real-world context.
Also, please review the other online resources and tax help tools on IRS. In addition to VITA, the TCE program offers free tax help, particularly for those who are 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues unique to seniors. The IRS-certified volunteers who provide tax counseling are often retired individuals associated with non-profit organizations that receive grants from the IRS. This training includes maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of all taxpayer information.
